A Doggie New Year :)
A new year. A new round of challenges and changes to be faced within 365 days or so. On with some updates and words from me.
I am thankful that the recent Christmas and New Year's holidays were done without the intereference of call center life, which I find to be sad in a way since I was away from my family and relatives during those two occasions. At least it was made up recently and found it a change than last year's.
Recent acquisitions of note was the Ex Machina Cyberpunk genre Tri-Stat RPG book that I bought off from Ebay through my brother's help. I am happy of its arrival. Still reading it through and trying to wrap my brain around two of the four campaign setting/concepts they have in it. I find some of the stuff interesting and possibly of use for my still-in-production RPG campaign titled "Aegis of Aquarius" or "Aquarian Aegis".
My writing task has hit a major delay since my niece commandeered the comp during her christmas vacation. I thought I would have to do a major burn in order to meet the deadline which was last set on Jan 4. Checking my friend, Vinnie's, there was an extension in light of the holidays and other busy-ness intervention. *whew* I'll get back on track when my niece goes back to her schooling by Jan 4.
My current reading selection so far is Wild Cards XI: Dealer's Choice editted by George R.R. Martin and I have sci-fi classic Ringworld by Larry Niven. Ringworld was the inspiration for the familiar and famous locale for the Xbox game Halo.
As to my console gaming acquisition, just acquired Kingdom Hearts II, Japanese edition which is played by my niece. Man, that game has a lot of cutscenes which may very well equal or rival the cutscene count of the Metal Gear Solid games. I haven't taken a hand in playing any new PS2 games of late since I was adviced by Vinnie to minimize distraction elements in order to make my dragofic submission deadline.
A new year, a new set of plans to be drawn up, a new start at something.
