Iron Man Trailer from Comic-Con 07

Did a quick dig-around for the trailer that was screened for Comic-Con 07 attendees. The quality of this video clip taken isn't exactly that good but most of the best bits are pretty amazing and the reactions of the audience is very favorable. Enjoy!

Hmmmm...Looks like Paramount really acted quickly to have the teaser trailer removed off Youtube. Very quick intervention on their part. I'll have to make do instead with this clip for the Iron Man videogame which is part of the merchandising spin-off tied into the movie. It still looks pretty good to watch. I'll keep you guys posted when I get a hold of more publically accessible clip of the Iron Man movie trailer.

Shellhead unpacked

I've been monitoring a meagerly possible regarding this comic character to be brought to the silver screen. Its the high-tech hero, Iron Man! G4TV was able to get some coverage about Comic-Con 07 in San Diego which covers a number of comic related news in terms of projects and especially movies, Iron Man included. The movie is to be a mix of CG and good ol fashioned FX that would bring the armored avenger to life. The exclusive trailer put together for Comic-Con was said to be incredible. Incredible? That's more for the Hulk. Invincible is more appropriate. There was mention of a crate to be opened at Comic-Con to promote the movie. The contents of said crate is located here.

From what was shown, its the prototype Mark I suit that Stark wore first time during his captivity in Afghanistan as redone in this starting origin for more modern times.
Tony Stark is played by Robert Downey Jr. I hope it wasn't on his infamousness for substance abuse which can help with Tony's alcoholism which might covered in future installments. Other cast members are Terrence Howard as James Rhodes, Gwyneth Paltrow as Virginia "Pepper" Potts, Jeffe Bridges as Obadiah Stane and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury. Nick Fury played by Jackson is an obvious tap into the Ultimates given how Fury was depicted in that series. It is slated for 2008 release.

This is one movie I'm looking forward to this coming 2008. :)

Iron Supplements

This post is not a health article post of sorts. This is more in line with my long time admiration of the comic character Iron Man. Went to the recently renovated Advanced Iron fan site and subsequently lead me to its forum board.

I had a blast reading through some its forum threads and posted some replies on it. But the unexpected find in it was this webpage done by comic book artist Bob Layton, located here. Bob Layton was considered to one of the go-to people with regards to Iron Man. It was a hoot looking through Bob Layton's site, it has a quite a few interesting concept art piece throughout his career as Iron Man artist as well as the commissioned piece he did. It was fun to some interesting art piece and concept art.

My handle there at the forum board is GammaGuardsman, a NPC Idea I made back in my high school days when I first saw the Guardsman in the Official Handbook To The Marve l Universe Vol 5 that was in back in 1986 as I recall. I post my reactions and musing on the topics I see on that board. It's a fun place for shellhead fans to be at on the net. :D
